Our History
Malvern National Bank was chartered and opened for business on July 28, 1934 in the height of the Great Depression. It has operated continuously since that time and is celebrating its 75th birthday this year. During the 75 years of the bank's existence, only 6 individuals have held the office of President.
Since it's inception, it's been the primary mission of Malvern National Bank to serve the banking needs of Malvern and Hot Spring County. But by 1994 the mission of the bank to serve its customers had expanded to include Hot Springs and Garland County when the bank opened its Grand Avenue Branch.
In 1997, MNB opened a branch in Benton and Bryant in Saline Counties. The same year a second branch was opened in Hot Springs and the bank now has 3 full service locations in Hot Springs.
In 1994 Malvern National Bank purchased First National Bank of Sheridan (AR) with branches in Sheridan (Grant County) and East End (Saline County). In 1998, First National Bank of Sheridan merged with MNB giving the bank 8 branches in 4 counties.
Currently, MNB has 10 locations in its 4 county market.
MNB maintains a respect for the tradition and service of its 75 year history, while at the same time provides customers with the most current and innovative banking tools available. |
